Insect Biotech Co., Ltd. is a bio-venture company founded by
some of the researchers at Korea Research Institute of Bioscience and
Biotechnology (KRIBB) in April 2000.
Insects and their related
microorganisms are the most variously diversified species on earth. Insect
Biotech was established with a view to utilizing them as useful resources in
diverse industries and has been in the business of producing and marketing
industrial enzymes, microbial insecticides, insect genes and useful substances
from insects.
Insect Biotech holds the technologies to produce and
utilize environment-friendly microbial insecticides capable of preventing vermin
and useful substances from insects, as well as the technologies to develop and
produce industrial enzymes using insect related microorganisms. The company also
carries out research and development of insect genes that can be used as
medicines and bioactive materials.
Insect Biotech will grow to be a
worldwide leader in the area of enzymes and other biotechnology products through
diversifying its own high efficiency industrial enzymes and marketing the
environment-friendly microbial insecticides and useful substances from
insects.
